Baseball Game Preview: Schaeffer Academy Lions vs. Southland Rebels

The Schaeffer Academy Lions will face off against the Southland Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Schaeffer Academy: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Southland has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road also dating back to last season.

Schaeffer Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Grand Meadow/Kingsland/LeRoy-Ostrander on Tuesday, falling 14-2.

Schaeffer Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Osborne, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those hits were Osborne's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Southland lost 12-4 to Blooming Prairie on Friday. The loss was the Rebels' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Southland fell to 3-1. As for Schaeffer Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
