Dynamic duo of Makayla Chism and Maziah Shelton lead Joliet West to victory

Recap: Joliet West Tigers vs. Lane Tech Champions
On Friday, Joliet West earned a 55-46 win over Lane Tech.
Joliet West was led to victory by Makayla Chism and Maziah Shelton. Chism scored 14 points, while Shelton scored 17 points. The matchup was Shelton's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ingrid Troha, who scored seven points.
Joliet West is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Lane Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joliet West and Yorkville will face off at 1:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lane Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 9th.
