Basketball Recap: Bishop Carroll Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Penn Cambria Panthers. The Huskies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February.

Despite the loss, Bishop Carroll still got an impressive performance from Jace Casses, who shot 54% from beyond the arc to rack up 35 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. The contest was Casses' fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Winston Hall-Campbell, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Penn Cambria's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colvin Mallory led the charge by going 5-for-6 en route to 14 points and six boards. Those 14 points gave Mallory a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nick Marshall, who had 15 points and seven rebounds.

Bishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Penn Cambria, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Bishop Carroll has already played their next game, an 80-50 defeat against Forest Hills on the 11th. As for Penn Cambria, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-57 victory against Chestnut Ridge on the 11th.
