Baseball Recap: Master's Academy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Master's Academy walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trinity Prep Saints on Thursday, sneaking past 3-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Julian Mercado was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Master's Academy pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Trinity Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

As of now, neither Master's Academy nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
