After both having extra time off, the Hebron Hawks and the Plano East Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hebron comes in on seven and Plano East on five.
Hebron will bounce into Friday's match after beating Flower Mound, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hawks blew past the Jaguars 3-0 on Friday.
While Hebron won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-8.

Zoe Miller and Maddox Whitlow were among the main playmakers for Hebron as the former had eight digs and three aces and the latter had ten digs and one assist. That's the most digs Whitlow has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Plano East faced off against McKinney on Friday. The Panthers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1.
Plano East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-23.
Hebron better focus on containing Dakota Huynh and Addison Tucker as the pair were huge in Plano East's win. Huynh had 31 digs and five assists, while Tucker had nine digs and three aces. Huynh is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.
Hebron's win bumped their record up to 26-11. As for Plano East, their victory bumped their record up to 28-10.
Hebron took their win against Plano East in their previous meeting back in October of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
