Volleyball Recap: Marshall Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Marshall and Westville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Marshall had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Harper Richardson paced Marshall's offense, picking up 11 kills. Richardson really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. Finally, Lilly Ross kept Marshall's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

With the defeat, Marshall broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 22-8. As for Westville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Marshall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westville, they will face off against Tolono Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
