Volleyball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Pinole Valley Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Oilers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Pinole Valley, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

Richmond wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Vallejo on the 14th. As for Pinole Valley, they will take on De Anza at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pinole Valley is facing De Anza at the right time seeing as De Anza is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
