Volleyball Recap: Northwest Wins Going Away Against South Gallia

Northwest barely beat South Gallia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mohawks blew past the Rebels 3-0 on Tuesday. The Mohawks haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Northwest never let South Gallia on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.

Claire Newman paced Northwest's offense, picking up 16 kills. Newman got some help from Sadie Smith and her 11 assists. Abigail Farmer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northwest now has a winning record of 11-10. As for South Gallia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Symmes Valley on the 8th. As for South Gallia, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Eastern on the 9th.
