Chilton is a perfect 10-0 against Sheboygan Falls since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Chilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Chilton not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024 (when they won 15-0). They put the hurt on Roncalli with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.
Lauren Roehrig made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roehrig was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Chilton got a massive performance out of Mya McGinnis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave McGinnis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sophia Pingel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Chilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against New Holstein, falling 15-0.
Sheboygan Falls saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Thill, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Chilton's record now sits at 10-8. As for Sheboygan Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
Sheboygan Falls' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Chilton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Sheboygan Falls, though, as they've only averaged .156. Will they be able to contain Chilton's hitters?
Chilton took their win against Sheboygan Falls in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
