Basketball Game Preview: Andes Central/Dakota Christian vs. Kimball/White Lake Wildkats

Andes Central/Dakota Christian is 2-8 against Kimball/White Lake since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Andes Central/Dakota Christian are taking a road trip to face off against the Kimball/White Lake Wildkats at 6:30 p.m. Andes Central/Dakota Christian will be strutting in after a win while Kimball/White Lake will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Andes Central/Dakota Christian took their contest with ease, bagging a 67-36 victory over Freeman Academy/Marion. Andes Central/Dakota Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Kimball/White Lake lost 61-37 to Wessington Springs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Wildkats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Spartans are ranked 26th).

The win made it two in a row for Andes Central/Dakota Christian and bumps their season record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Kimball/White Lake, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home.

Andes Central/Dakota Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Kimball/White Lake when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 54-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Andes Central/Dakota Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
