Volleyball Recap: Alief Taylor Comes Up Short on the Road Against Morton Ranch

Alief Taylor kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Morton Ranch Mavericks by a score of 3-2. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Alief Taylor took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Looking ahead, Alief Taylor will square off against Fort Bend Willowridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Morton Ranch, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Cypress Woods at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday.
