Softball Recap: South Hills Takes a Loss

If South Hills was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Polytechnic last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The South Hills Scorpions came up short against the Rio Vista Eagles on Friday, falling 18-5.

Natalie Guijosa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Miley Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

South Hills' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Rio Vista, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, South Hills will face off against Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Vista, they will venture away from home to face off against Frost at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
