Softball Game Preview: Greenville Comets vs. Carlinville Cavaliers

The Greenville Comets will take on the Carlinville Cavaliers at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Greenville 2, Carlinville 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Greenville didn't have quite enough to beat Pana and fell 3-2.

Haylee Clark made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Carlinville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over Vandalia on Friday. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Vandals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Carlinville's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Greenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5-1.
