Baseball Game Preview: McLoud Redskins vs. Harding Prep

The McLoud Redskins will face off against Harding Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for McLoud and four for Harding Prep.

Tecumseh hit McLoud with a six-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Redskins came up short against the Savages, falling 9-1. Redskins fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Savages since on Tuesday.

McLoud saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Mapira, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Harding Prep came up short against Seminole on Monday and fell 6-1.

Harding Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for McLoud, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.

Everything went McLoud's way against Harding Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2017, as McLoud made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do Harding Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
