Softball Recap: Hyde Park Comes Up Short

Hyde Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dunbar Mightymen. The Thunderbirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mightymen earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Hyde Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dunbar, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hyde Park beat the Mightymen by a score of 5-4 later that day.
