Basketball Recap: Young Men's Leadership Academy vs. Carter-Riverside Eagles

Young Men's Leadership Academy came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by a 51-26 margin over Carter-Riverside. That's another feather in the cap for Young Men's Leadership Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, Carter-Riverside saw an underclassman step up: Johnathan Owens scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Owens has scored all season.

Carter-Riverside struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-5) when they can't control their own glass like that.

Young Men's Leadership Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17. As for Carter-Riverside, they are on a 22-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-24.
