Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alyirah Lee and Brooklynn Anderson Lead Eisenhower to Victory

Eisenhower hadn't done well against MacArthur recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eisenhower Eagles were the clear victor by a 41-17 margin over the MacArthur Generals. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Generals back in December of 2024, they had to take a 47-29 loss.

Eisenhower was led to victory by Brooklynn Anderson and Alyirah Lee. Anderson posted seven points along with ten rebounds and four steals, while Lee went 6 of 15 en route to 12 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sedmyah Steptoe, who had two points and five boards.

Eisenhower's record now sits at 3-17. As for MacArthur, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

Eisenhower didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-30 defeat against Spring on the 23rd. MacArthur has also already played their next contest, a 55-33 victory against Aldine on the 23rd.
