Volleyball Recap: Liberty Lions vs. Desert Vista Thunder

Liberty entered their contest against Desert Vista on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Liberty fell just short of Desert Vista by a score of 3-2. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Liberty was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Desert Vista work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 15-12.

Liberty suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-7. As for Desert Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Liberty Lions take on Millennium Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty is facing Millennium at the right time seeing as Millennium is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Desert Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Basha at 5:30 p.m. Basha will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Desert Vista surely won't give up without a fight.
