Point Pleasant Boro is a perfect 8-0 against Point Pleasant Beach since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will take on the Garnet Gulls at 3:45 p.m.

On Saturday, Point Pleasant Boro came up short against Rumson-Fair Haven and fell 10-7.

Meanwhile, Point Pleasant Beach put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Brick Township by a score of 11-8.

ANTONIO ACEVEDO made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. ACEVEDO was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Point Pleasant Beach let TOMMY CONROY and BRODY POWERS run wild. CONROY went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while POWERS scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits CONROY has posted since back in May of 2024. DANNY LUBACH was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Point Pleasant Boro now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Point Pleasant Beach, their record is now 4-0.

Point Pleasant Boro was able to grind out a solid win over Point Pleasant Beach in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
