Basketball Game Preview: St. John Fighting Herald vs. Conneaut Spartans

The St. John Fighting Herald will face off against the Conneaut Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. John's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Friday, St. John humbled Chalker with a 70-38 victory. That looming 70-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fighting Herald yet this season.

Meanwhile, Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by Madison 60-16. The match marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. John's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Conneaut, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

St. John came up short against Conneaut when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 79-66. Thankfully for St. John, Chance Loomis (who went 16 for 33 en route to 38 points along with eight assists and eight boards) won't be suiting up this time.
