Basketball Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady lost against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots were outmatched by the Spartans and fell 70-22. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Larson out in front who shot 45% from the field on her way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Larson's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Giufre, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points and five steals.

Schenectady's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
