Soccer Game Preview: Strasburg vs. Clarke County

Strasburg is 0-10 against Clarke County since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Rams will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Strasburg will be strutting in after a victory while Clarke County will be coming in after a defeat.

While Strasburg's win against Rappahannock County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out Rappahannock County 3-2 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Clarke County fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Page County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Clarke County's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clarke County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Strasburg, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Strasburg suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Clarke County when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
