Softball Recap: Lexington Catholic Gets the Win

Lexington Catholic posted their closest victory since March 27th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Frederick Douglass Broncos 7-5. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on Payton Coomer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Lexington Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
