After a string of three wins, Northside Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a 51-20 loss at the hands of the First Christian Lions. While losing is never fun, Northside Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while First Christian is ranked 273rd).

First Christian found their leader in sophomore Reagan Davis, who went 12 of 17 en route to 28 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Adrianna Graham, who posted eight points and eight boards.

Northside Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for First Christian, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside Christian Academy will host West Nassau at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Northside Christian Academy is facing West Nassau at the right time seeing as West Nassau is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for First Christian, they will take on Cedar Key at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
