Softball Game Preview: Fordyce Redbugs vs. Parkers Chapel Trojans

Fordyce is 0-6 against Parkers Chapel since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Fordyce Redbugs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Parkers Chapel Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Fordyce is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Watson Chapel. Even if the Redbugs couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parkers Chapel). They put the hurt on Hermitage with a sharp 15-4 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Parkers Chapel's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Fordyce, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
