Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Bloomfield won the last time they faced Thoreau and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bloomfield Bobcats had just enough and edged the Thoreau Hawks out 22-20. The victory was familiar territory for the Bobcats who have now won three games in a row.

Despite the loss, Thoreau had strong showings from Madison Woodie, who posted eight points and four steals, and Jo-Dee Delgarito, who earned five points and three steals.

Bloomfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Thoreau, they moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Bloomfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grants at 11:15 a.m. on January 2, 2025. Bloomfield's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Grants' offense will have their work cut out for them.
