Softball Recap: Grace Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It was a good run, but Grace Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the North DeSoto Griffins. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Grace Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wynnlee Vincent, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Grace Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for North DeSoto, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will face off against Grant at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grace Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Grant has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for North DeSoto, they will challenge Sterlington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (North DeSoto 2.2, Sterlington 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
