Volleyball Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

Mt. Zion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tri-Valley Vikings.

Angela McCoy paced Mt. Zion's offense, picking up 11 kills. McCoy got some help from Kendall Smith and her 14 assists. Ty Ball controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Tri-Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.

Mt. Zion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ottawa on the 11th. As for Tri-Valley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Lincoln on the 11th.
