King entered their tilt with Calallen on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They snuck past the Calallen Wildcats with a 57-51 victory. For the Brahmas, this counts as revenge for the 66-38 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

King got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Lozano out in front who went 9 of 15 en route to 26 points. Those 26 points gave Lozano a new career-high. Christopher Garza was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Calallen lost, don't look at Sam Cecava. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 20 boards. Cecava's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tanner Martinez, who posted 15 points.

King's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Calallen, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-10 record.

King wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 77-47 victory against Harmony School of Excellence on the 24th. As for Calallen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-61 win against Zapata on the 24th.
