Soccer Recap: Marist Takes a Loss

After flying high against Shepard on Monday, Marist came back down to earth. The RedHawks fell 3-1 to the Niles Notre Dame Dons on Wednesday. Marist haven't had much luck with Niles Notre Dame recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Marist's goal came courtesy of Darren Bridges, who's now up to three this season.

Marist's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Niles Notre Dame, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7-1 record this season.

Marist has already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Saint Ignatius College Prep on the 14th. As for Niles Notre Dame, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Marian Catholic on the 11th.
