League recap: Fowler paces West Sequoia with four wins over past week

West Sequoia league recap: 3/27/13

Fowler outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its four total wins led the league. The Redcats beat Washington Union 3-1, Porterville 17-0, the Panthers 13-4 and Coalinga 14-1.

Conly Biglione was the hottest hitter in West Sequoia this week, racking up a .714 average with five RBIs. Meanwhile, Minarets put together a 1-2 week.

Riverdale boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The Mustangs, the league's stolen base leader this season with 83, added to their lead in that category with 22 more steals over the past week.

The league boasted six .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Conly Biglione, who hit .714 by going 5-for-7.



With five runs batted in this week, Minarets' Biglione increased his league-leading total in that category to 12.

Scott Parker drove in four runners on Tuesday in the Mustangs' 16-10 victory over Valley. He went 4-for-4 and scored three runs.
