Basketball Recap: Tift County Blue Devils vs. Lee County Trojans

It was a good run, but the Tift County Blue Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Lee County, falling 56-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tift County has scored all season.

Tift County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TeShawn Bryant, who scored nine points. Fred White was another key contributor, scoring four points.

Josiah Parker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lee County, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Parker is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Chaney, who scored six points along with six assists and two steals.

Tift County's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11. As for Lee County, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Tift County and the Packers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Colquitt County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Lee County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Veterans has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 724 points over their last nine games.
