Volleyball Recap: Leyden Victorious

Leyden won the last time they faced Streamwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Sabres by a score of 2-0.

Leyden easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-10.

Sarah Skorna paced Leyden's offense, picking up eight kills. Skorna got some help from Aleksandra Manojlovic and her 15 assists. Antonina Saminska controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win got Leyden back to even at 1-1. As for Streamwood, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Leyden will take on Maine East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Streamwood, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bartlett at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
