Considering the Cubs have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Tj Eurich was his usual excellent self, rushing for 114 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. Another player making a difference was Caston Cox, who threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Simla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Mary's only rushed for 44.
The defeat snapped Elbert's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for Simla, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
