Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Henry County

Henry County was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Union County Braves 11-10. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Macey McManis was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Lexi Chesser was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Henry County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matchups.

Henry County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Union County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Henry County will face off against Campbellsville at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they will venture away from home to square off against Greenwood at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
