Soccer Game Preview: Norwich Free Academy vs. Windham

The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats will head out to take on the Windham Whippets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Norwich Free Academy will head out to face Windham after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of Ledyard by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Windham's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodstock Academy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Windham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Woodstock Academy are ranked 30th).

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2-1. As for Windham, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1.

Norwich Free Academy beat Windham by a goal in their previous meeting on September 5th, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
