Basketball Recap: Estill County Find Success

Estill County had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Friday against the Powell County Pirates by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. This was payback for the Engineers, who suffered a 62-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory got Estill County back to even at 7-7. As for Powell County, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Estill County will square off against Boyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Powell County, they will head out to take on Montgomery County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
