Softball Recap: Poth Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Poth waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Stockdale Brahmas with a sharp 13-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Poth got a massive performance out of Bella Serna, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Reese Urbanczyk was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Poth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .571 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Poth pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Stockdale, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Poth is set to challenge their familiar foe Luling at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stockdale will face off against rival Goliad at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
