Prattville scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 83-82 to the Wetumpka Indians. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Indians are ranked 123rd).

Despite the loss, Prattville still got an impressive performance from Cameron Lewis, who went 13 of 23 on his way to 32 points and three steals. Lewis continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Dunn, who posted ten points.

Andrew Voyles continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wetumpka, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Justin Godwin, who put up eight points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Prattville and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Wetumpka, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Prattville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 87-55 defeat against Pike Road on the 11th. As for Wetumpka, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-61 victory against Tallassee on the 10th.
