Volleyball Game Preview: Richmond Oilers vs. Salesian College Preparatory Pride

The Richmond Oilers will head out to take on the Salesian College Preparatory Pride at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Salesian College Preparatory took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Richmond, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Richmond turned things around against Ygnacio Valley on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wolves.

Richmond was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Salesian College Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Saint Mary's.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-10.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Salesian College Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Richmond couldn't quite get it done against Salesian College Preparatory in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Oilers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
