Recap: Lincoln Prep Panthers vs. Union Parish Farmers
The Lincoln Prep Panthers came tearing into Friday's contest with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Union Parish with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. 61 seems to be a good number for Lincoln Prep as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Lincoln Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Stephen Burks out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Burks hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Burton, who scored 12 points.
Lincoln Prep has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Union Parish, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.
Lincoln Prep will be playing at home against Dunham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln Prep is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Dunham a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Union Parish, they will head out on the road to face off against Mangham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
