Volleyball Recap: Bucyrus Redmen vs. Seneca East Tigers

Bucyrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Seneca East Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redmen of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-13.

Tori Stang paced Bucyrus' offense, picking up seven kills. Stang got some help from Macie Hubble and her 11 assists.

Seneca East found their leader in freshman Lillian Burkholder, who had 27 assists and 13 digs. Those 27 assists set a new season-high mark for Burkholder. Another player making a difference was Anniston Burroughs, who had 12 digs.

Bucyrus now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Seneca East, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5.

Bucyrus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Edison on the 6th. As for Seneca East, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Monroeville on the 6th.
