Volleyball Game Preview: Scotts Valley Falcons vs. Soquel Knights

Scotts Valley is 0-3 against Soquel since March of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Scotts Valley is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Gilroy, falling 3-0.

Scotts Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-14, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Soquel didn't have quite enough to beat Jesuit on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Scotts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Soquel, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Scotts Valley suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Soquel in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
