It was a good run, but Mendon Unity unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Erie-Prophetstown was led to victory by Brown Brynn and Brooks Ellah. Brynn had 11 digs and two assists, while Ellah had seven digs. That's the most digs Ellah has posted since back in September.

Mendon Unity's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Erie-Prophetstown, the win was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-2.

Mendon Unity has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Kewanee on the 11th. As for Erie-Prophetstown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Peoria on the 11th.
