Soccer Recap: Reno Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Reno was not quite Sparks's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Railroaders. While losing is never fun, Reno can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Sparks are ranked second).

Reno now has a losing record of 7-8-2. As for Sparks, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reno is set to take on their familiar foe Spanish Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sparks will square off against rival Reed at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
