Volleyball Game Preview: Buffalo Gap Bison vs. Alleghany Cougars + How To Watch

The Buffalo Gap Bison will head out to challenge the Alleghany Cougars at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Buffalo Gap has struggled recently with 11 losses in a row, while Alleghany will arrive with three straight victories.

On Tuesday, Buffalo Gap didn't have quite enough to beat Waynesboro and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Alleghany took on Rockbridge County on Thursday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-21, 25-12.

Buffalo Gap better focus on containing NEVAEH FORBES and KYLIE FORBES as the pair were huge in Alleghany's win. NEVAEH had 17 digs and two aces, while KYLIE had six digs and two aces. NEVAEH has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. PAIGE WEBB also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Alleghany's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Buffalo Gap, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Buffalo Gap might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Alleghany when the teams last played back in September. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
