Basketball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 40th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Hephzibah Rebels 67-23. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-25 back in January.

Westside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Camren Phelps, who posted nine points.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Hephzibah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westside will head out to square off against Howard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hephzibah, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
