Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Tunstall

Tunstall had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Gretna on Tuesday. Tunstall blew past Gretna 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory keeps Tunstall at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average this season. As for Gretna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tunstall will square off against Dan River at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gretna, they will face off against Jefferson Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
