Basketball Recap: Oglesby Comes Up Short

Oglesby extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 4-8. They fell 37-25 to the Meyer Ravens. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-22 back in November.

As for Meyer, the victory got them back to even at 8-8. The win was a breath of fresh air for they as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meyer's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kassidy Turner, who made all 5 shots she took to post 10 points. Turner is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 100% in the last three games she's played. Skylar Hicks was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meyer has already played their next matchup, a 46-45 defeat against Texas Wind on the 12th. Hopefully Oglesby paid attention to the Ravens' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
