Gridley and Paradise are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gridley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

The Bulldogs put the hurt on the RedHawks with a sharp 27-7 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bulldogs just coasted through the last quarter.

Eli Punzo had a dynamite game, rushing for 211 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Isaac Punzo was another key player, rushing for 94 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Paradise duked it out with Live Oak two weeks ago. The Bobcats secured a 33-27 W over the Lions. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Gridley better focus on containing Aaron Davis and Evan Higgs as the pair were huge in Paradise's win. Davis threw for 224 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, while Higgs gained 136 total yards and two touchdowns. Paradise's leading receiver Davis Limbaugh was Davis' top target yet again, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Paradise's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Gridley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Gridley against Paradise when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 win. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
